JBackupWithZip is a simple software for zipping oftenly a selection of folders and files. This selection of folders and files can be saved and reused each time you want to zip thoses files. (see JBackupWithZip Screenshots).

It is usefull to make a zip file with all the folders you oftenly want to backup. With JBackupWithZip, no need to set manually each time the selection of files to a classic zip software or so.

This task can be done with an archive software, but these usually do it in some specific format (never seen one using Zip) and you then need to have this specific software to open it later.
Then, if you build an archive file in 2002 with an archive software for windows 2000, what about openning it on a Linux OS in 2007 ?
Will it be possible to get back the archived files ?
Zip format is much more widely used ... and will still be there within many years (may be decades...).

JBackupWithZip is written entirely in Java 1.4 / Swing, with use of XML to store the selection of folders and files. All classes are fully documented with javadoc comments in english.

It is free and released under a BSD licence (see JBackupWithZip License).

I developped this software because I needed it, but also to develop some general usefull classes, such as tree computing (for folders and files), process command (for launching and show process progression in real time), etc...
I tryed to develop those classes with the best object modeling for this kind of computing tasks.

The software or the classes may be usefull to you...
